Not living in Edinburgh, when we recently decided to buy a flat in the capital, we needed significant support as both of us hold down busy jobs. We found Sara almost by accident through her splendid website. The flat we acquired was in the right location and top floor with good views but needed everything renewed\redecorated. We also considered extending up into the roof void. Armed with her various contacts amongst architects and tradesmen, Sara took care of everything. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we changed our minds on the new furniture time and time again. Just about all our instructions to her were over the internet and she replied with plans, drawings of furniture to be built in and to be bought. She investigated thoroughly the planning permission regarding an extension, had plans drawn up and spoke to the local council on our behalf.
When, during renovations, there was a leak from our flat (not her tradesmen's fault) into the flat below she dealt with this when we called her up at 11.30 pm saying we had an irate downstairs neighbour on the phone and what could she do! During the recent bad weather, a leak in the main roof caused a leak in our flat and again Sara dealt with all of the repairs on our behalf.
At the end of the day, and always with enthusiasm and good cheer, Sara brought the flat in on budget and on timescale (which we could never have done from so far away) and we are delighted with the results. So much so that we have continued to retain her services under her annual service agreement. We can thoroughly recommend her trustworthiness, pragmatism, cool headedness, professionalism and interior design flair.

I had been living in my flat for almost 4 years and was struggling to find the time to finish furnishing and upgrading it. I finally took the decision to find an interior designer to help me do this and not having used one before I searched on the internet and found Sara's site which I found to be very welcoming with very much the personal touch and I got the sense that Sara would be a good person to work with. And I wasn't disappointed. We met up within the space of a few days of my initial call and Sara got started straight away. Sara worked incredibly hard throughout the project and was always very professional. The project involved sourcing new furniture for most of the rooms, curtains, painting 3 rooms, new light fittings and TVs, bed linens and other furnishings and Sara even arranged for me to have a private showing at an art gallery who had secured some artwork that would work within my colour schemes and room requirements. There were times when I had to trust Sara's judgement as there were certain aspects that I wasn't initially sure about (eg. paint colour and type/colour of furniture) but she was patient while I deliberated but stuck firm with her ideas and how well they would work and in the end I trusted her and when the work was done she was absolutely right and I'm very happy with the results. She has a team of tradesmen that work with her (painters, electrician, joiner) who were all of great quality and she project managed all of them so that everything just happened around me and that in itself was fantastic. Now I'm enjoying having the flat complete and the compliments from the family and friends who visit!
